Let’s see, James Yuill is a folktronica musician from London. Folktronica, a brilliant expression that suits his style of music. A couple of years ago I was on a youtube channel for a label and stumbled upon his No Surprise video. Instantly hooked. Instantly began downloading his music. Yuill didn’t have much wide success with his first release in 2005 but once he signed on with Nettwerk Music Group  in 2008 he gained more international popularity. Yuill also works as a remixer under his pseudo name of Hunger/Thirst, which he has done remixes for various artists. I love the combination of a guitar, laptop and mixer to create his one man folktronica sound. Over The Hills is like a song right out of the 80’s, that’s just me. Anyway, not sure if any of you in Austin just saw James Yuill @ SXSW 2011. If you did, please comment and let me know how the show was. Hope you like it and download.

Awww, man! I wished I would have read your blog earlier, I did not see him at SXSW. Hopefully he will come back to town next year. Your website is awesome, keep it up!

I am writing his name down on a post-it right now because I am totally digging his music and I want to look him up on iTunes. I got a gift card for my b-day. 🙂
